Rox is kind of a genius when it comes to texture and unique fits. This crocheted headband-style earwarmer is a great way to sport some colour without it being overwhelming. Choose Mom’s favourites, or something that will match (or contrast!) with her jacket!

The Layer Cake Cowl is a beautiful, lightweight accessory that works up quickly and gives you the option of fading or striping your colours. Does Mom prefer bold stripes or a subtle, monochromatic fade? The options are endless, and you get to finish the cowl with cool buttons.
Homebody Slippers by Capital Crochet
Craft: Crochet Pattern Cost: $6 CAD
These slippers are my best-selling pattern, and you can see why! They are so cozy, and super easy to whip up. An adult-sized pair can be made from start to finish in about an hour. Mom will love these, and let’s be honest, so will everyone in your family when you become obsessed with making these in all sizes.
DK Goldbrick Socks by Things Beth Makes
Craft: Knit Pattern Cost: $3.50 USD
Sticking with footwear, this time for the knitters! This simple pattern is perfect for those new to knitting, or if you’re really pressed for time and want something quick and easy. It shows off striped yarn perfectly, but you can also create your own striping or colour blocking, or use a variegated or solid yarn. Basically Mom will be stoked to have her own hand-knit socks, no matter what colour you choose!
Fall Spice Cozy by The Crafty MD
Craft: Crochet Pattern Cost: $3 USD
If your Mom is perpetually toting a Starbucks or other takeout bevvy around, this is the perfect gift for her. And, it’s so quick that you can probably make a few - one for the car, another for the office… you get it. This would also make a great cozy for candles or jars!
Bewitching Bandana Cowl by Cat Stricklin
Craft: Crochet Pattern Cost: $5 USD
This crochet cowl pattern has some great features, including a fun texture and a huge tassel! I do love me a good tassel, and I bet your Mom will love it, too. Grab that special variegated yarn, as this pattern was designed to really showcase the colours.
Arrakeen Infinity Scarf by Capital Crochet
Craft: Tunisian Crochet Pattern Cost: FREE
This beautifully textured pattern whips up so quickly, and can be finished as an infinity scarf or as a traditional scarf (oooh, maybe with some fringe at the ends?!). It is lightweight, so Mom won’t have to wait until the cold weather hits again before she can wear this one.
Thistle Seed Beanie by Sun Daughter Knits
Craft: Knit Pattern Cost: $7 USD
Another one for the knitters, and isn’t this one is absolutely stunning?! This cozy hat is inspired by nature and has such a unique texture. Top it with a pompom or leave it bare if Mom prefers a low profile.
Be Hue Earrings by Haley Handcrafted
Craft: Crochet Pattern Cost: $5 USD
If Mom wears earrings, I bet she would LOVE a set of customized rainbows! You will need to hit up Michaels or your local craft store for some embroidery thread and the findings, and Haley’s pattern is super detailed and shows you exactly how to finish these cuties off with a professional look.

Are your Mom’s dish cloths older than you? Ok maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but if her kitchen linens could use a refresh, check out the Stitch Exploration Series for a bunch of patterns that explore cool textures and unique stitch combinations to create the most beautiful dish cloths.
Grab your cotton yarn - I recommend Dishie by Knit Picks/We Crochet - and while you’re making for Mom, make a few for yourself, too!
